Founded 2013 by Ben and Lee Davies, The Outdoor Chef was born from a dream to create a space where families could come together, shop with confidence, and discover high-quality products for their outdoor living. Their vision was simple yet powerful—build a store where you could find everything you need for your outdoor lifestyle, from premium BBQs to all the essentials for a memorable experience in nature.

With over a decade of dedication, the business grew to two thriving locations in Osborne Park and Joondalup. The legacy of Ben and Lee Davies, their commitment to quality, and their passion for exceptional customer service continue to live on at The Outdoor Chef.

In 2024, Ben and Lee decided it was time to embrace life outdoors and pass the torch. The business was acquired by Alessandro Spini and Jessica dos Santos, two passionate individuals who bring a fresh perspective and an unwavering commitment to the same values the company was built on.

Alessandro, originally from Brescia, Italy, is a graduated chef who followed his culinary dreams to Australia. After exploring a variety of industries, he realised his true calling was in the world of food and outdoors, leading him back to his roots. Jessica, born and raised in South Brazil, grew up where within her “Gaucho” culture BBQ is an essential part of family life. Her love for her Southern Brazilian traditions, combined with her extensive experience in hospitality, retail and leadership, created a powerful synergy with Alessandro. Together, they dreamed of having a business where they could unite their shared passions for food, community, and exceptional customer experiences.

Now at the direction of The Outdoor Chef, Alessandro and Jessica are dedicated to carrying on the legacy of the founders while bringing their own vision to life. Their goal is to create a space where customers not only find the highest quality BBQs and outdoor living products but also feel like part of a community.
