The YETI Story

YETI was founded in 2006 by brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders, two passionate outdoorsmen from Texas who were frustrated with coolers that simply couldn’t stand up to the demands of fishing, hunting and life outdoors. Their goal was simple: build the kind of cooler they actually wanted to use themselves.

That idea led to the creation of YETI and, later, the now-iconic Tundra® Hard Cooler, built with exceptional durability and ice retention for serious outdoor use. What started with a better cooler quickly gained a following among anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Today, YETI has grown far beyond coolers into a global outdoor brand, with a range spanning drinkware, coolers, bags, backpacks and other outdoor gear. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the brand continues to be driven by the same focus on performance, durability and quality that inspired Roy and Ryan from the beginning.
